Classic American Hamburger recipe american hamburger recipe the rise of the hamburger

Hamburgers...yum!

With the arrival of the 4th of July holiday here in the US means one thing to cooks and chef’s…BBQ! With summer in full swing and the grill’s tune up complete from the Memorial day holiday at the end of May, BBQ’s countrywide will be firing up and cooking brisket, ribs, burgers, hot dogs and most anything else you can think of for America’s big birthday bash.

Hamburgers have been a staple of the 4th of July BBQ since the big bang and t seems that the burger is back in fashion. Call it a search for something comfortable in hard economic times, call it cheap eats…whatever you want to call it the burger is back and it is back big. Restaurant’s keep popping up right and left offering variations of the classic American staple. Beef, chicken, veggie, buffalo and other forms of exotic and not so exotic meats, grains and veggies are making their way into the realm of the burger. Toss in a bun made from ciabatta, foccicia, sour dough or gluten free bread and you are well on your way to hamburger heaven. Creativity knows no bounds and the burgers created this 4th of July nationwide will take many forms, all decided on by the legion of backyard chefs who decide to take the plunge.

Now, to take the plunge and begin to tweak the mainstay of American BBQ’s one must know what goes into a classic burger. Juicy ground beef, a fresh and tender bun, crisp lettuce, vine ripe tomatoes, mustard, mayo, ketchup and a host of other condiments all lined up and ready to go. All you really need is to get the BBQ fired up, grab a few pounds of quality ground meat and some cold beverages, right?…wrong.

Most backyard chefs will just throw some meat on the Barbie, toast some buns and toss back a couple of drinks and be done with it all, it is of course a holiday for everyone, right? Well before you get your drink on and start down your road to holiday bliss you should make sure that all of your P’s and Q’s are in line for the fun you are about to have.

With that said, grab a couple of pounds of quality, freshly ground beef (do I dare say butcher shop?) and get ready to make some of the best burgers on the planet. I kindly submit to you aGreat  “classic” burger recipe , just in time for the 4th. Just follow the link to my somewhat redesigned main site and get it for yourself. You’ll be thankful you did, especially after a couple of drinks.

Happy Birthday America!
