A big kudos to Draven, Greg, Mo, Chenais and the rest of the staff at the Glass Door & the Porto Vista hotel for making this all possible. This would not have come to fruition without the hard work and dedication of all involved.

Dear Rob,
We are considering bringing our out of town family for dinner around the holidays. A couple of them have special dietary needs. Have you added any additional vegetarian options (other than the vegetable/polenta dish)? Perhaps you have a selection of nice salads?
Another question, are the small plates available at dinner or only for late night dining? I am looking forward to our dining experience.
Joanne
Joanne,
Thanks for dropping by and leaving a message. I have, at this point not added any other vegetarian options to the dinner menu. I am working on some new items but they (probably) won’t be on the menu until after the beginning of the year. I can though work on some specific dish requests for you, if I know what the dietary needs are. How many family members are you planning on bringing in?
Another option would be to talk with Jennifer Booth, who runs our sales and events department if your group is a large one, say 15 people plus.
Some of our small plates are on the dinner menu, but not all. I will be swapping some of the dishes around after the first of the year, to try and add some of the popular items from late nite into the main dinner menu. Is there something specific you are looking at?
Looking forward to your reply and hope all is well.

Had dinner with friends at the Glass Door last night and loved it! Very nice atmosphere with beautiful hanging lights overhead, magical green glass bar, and sparkling view out the window. We wanted to sit on the balcony, but it was too narrow for our group, so we settled for the large red banquette at the end of the bar.
The service was friendly and helpful, but sometimes took too long. Our wait for the food seemed forever, but when it arrived, it was delicious and made us forget the time. The prices seemed very reasonable.
I highly recommend the Glass Door and am looking forward to going back again soon.
Hi,
We dined with you recently. Your food is excellent, but in real need of expanding the selections for pescatorean and vegies.
Please, oh please consider doing this soonest!
Sincerely,
Sharon Lee Rosewoman
Sharon,
Thanks for not only stopping by the restaurant but also the blog. I hear ya on the menu modifications, I have been trying for months to get a new one implemented, but I have been hitting some resistance from those above. There has been some management turnover in the front of the house, so rolling out a new menu was put on hold until a new team could be assembled.
With that said, we now have that new team in place and will be rolling out new menu’s over all meal periods beginning (fingers crossed) at the end of the month. The first will be breakfast, brunch and lunch. On these menu’s look for an expanded selection of sandwiches (brunch/lunch) and a few other surprises.
Dinner will be rolled out after the above and will offer a slightly paired down menu with move seafood choices and a price range focused in the 20 dollar realm, with 2 floating in the low 30′s. The nightly specials will also take a turn, as I will be making weekly trips to the Little Italy Mercato to source product for the following weeks specials. Look for not only a weekly seafood/meat option, but also a vegetarian one as well.
Again, thanks for stopping by the blog to leave your thought and I hope to see you when the new menu rolls out.
Cheers!
