the Glass Door bar…

has arrived! Finally we are seeing some progress. I took this photo the day of the installation of the safety flooring, which you can see in front of you. This flooring was installed throughout the kitchen an din the dish pit area and is a great addition to any restaurant or bar. You can, literally drop a glass bottle on the floor and it will not break! I wonder if it does the same for a dropped steak or lamb chop…LMAO!
With all of the construction activity lately it looks like we are on schedule for a mid June opening. I am in the process now of collecting resumes and fine tuning the menu so we will be running on all cylinders by our projected opening date. The kitchen install should be next week and then it’s interviewing of staff and (trying) to set up the ingredient database for my menu and ingredient software…oh the joy!
This weekend is a holiday here and it is looking like I am going to pick up some wine in Temecula CA. Ponte winery makes some of the best wines in soCal and I have 2 bottles awaiting my arrival. I also am in for a treat as my friend Matt from Sky Saddle wines sent down 2 bottles of an organically grown Syrah that I am dying to taste. I’ll snap some photo’s of Temecula and let you know how it goes…
